Ellington Financial LLC, which would later become a publicly traded partnership, is formed.

2009

Ellington diversifies further, expanding quantitative strategies.

2010

Ellington Financial goes public and begins trading on the NYSE.

2013

Ellington launches its second public company, Ellington Residential Mortgage REIT, an agency mortgage REIT.

2014

Ellington opens a London office to reach its global investors and expand European investment strategies.

2016

Ellington launches Ellington Private Opportunities, a private debt fund.
