Ellington is founded by Mike Vranos and 6 partners, in order to specialize in mortgage related products; Mike and the other partners had developed expertise in mortgage markets through former roles at Kidder Peabody and Lehman Brothers. The Firm has continued to diversify into additional asset classes throughout its history, strategically adapting and entering markets as opportunities emerge.
